It's Fun Friday at Mabel Madison, and Heather is joining us with some magic created from Stenzo poplins.  Lots of little girls love their dollies, and a bunny dolly with an outfit 'just like mine' really ups the game!

Hello, Heather from All Things Katy! here!

TGIF!!!!

TGIF!!! I'm always happy for the end of the work week, but this week, I'm even more excited to share with you my installment of Mabel Madison's Fun Friday. Using the lightweight, fun and bright Stenzo Poplins from Mabel Madison, I sewed up multiple patterns for this week's jam-packed post. I sewed up the My Childhood Treasures Rachel Rabbit and Dolly and Me Anke Dresses (as a top) and Made for Mermaids Dolly and Me Olivia Bloomers.

Before I jump into telling you more about the patterns that I sewed up for this week's post, let me pause to tell you a little about Mabel Madison's Stenzo Poplins. I used Flower Bunch- WhiteFlower Field- Pink and Flower Field-Red for the outfits that I created for my daughter and her stuffed bunny. Mabel Madison's Stenzo Poplins are 100% cotton and they wash up great! I always like to pre-wash my fabrics before sewing. I was concerned that the reds in the Flower Bunch- White and Flower Field-Red might bleed. However, that wasn't the case, here! The colors stayed crisp and colorful, even after washing and drying. Yay!

Since Easter is THIS Sunday (already- eek!), I thought I'd share my take on the adorable My Childhood Treasures Rachel Rabbit Pattern. Look at this adorable stuffed bunny! Soft, cuddly and easy to make, the My Childhood Treasures Rachel Rabbit is sized to fit most 18" doll clothing. I also sewed up a doll-sized My Childhood Treasures Anke Dress and Made for Mermaids Olivia Bloomers for Rachel Rabbit to wear (and match my Lil' Miss). Lil' Miss LOVES matching her dolls (and bunny)!

Now, onto Lil' Miss Sassy-Pants' attitude outfit... Lil' Miss is sporting a matching My Childhood Treasures Anke Dresses (as a top) and Made for Mermaids Olivia Bloomers in Mabel Madison's Stenzo Poplins Flower Bunch- WhiteFlower Field- Pink and Flower Field-Red. Because Mabel Madison's Stenzo Poplins are 100% cotton, they are light and breathable- perfect for warmer months in the South!

On my take of the girl's My Childhood Treasures Anke Dress (as a top), I chose to fully line the bodice and use a contrast color (Flower Field- Pink) for the insides of the bell sleeves. I also added a bit of trim on the front of the bodice, using some leftover trim from another past, project. Sew fun!

Lil' Miss has a closet full of dresses (literally!)! Plus, with the warmer weather on the horizon (i.e. running and playing outside), I thought that it would be fun to mix things up a bit and sew up a top and short outfit for today's post. For the shorts, I turned to one of my personal favorite PDF sewing pattern designers, Made for MermaidsOlivia Bloomers. These sweet bottoms feature a contrast band and modest knee-length Pantaloon length. I added a small bow at the waistband for another little detail.
